Dr. Alan Leftridge offers career building interpretive writing, science writing, guide training workshops, and consulting.

Alan Leftridge applies his extensive experience in the field of interpretation to his writing and guide training workshops. Since 1979, he has been a seasonal naturalist in Yellowstone National Park and a wilderness ranger in the Mission Mountains Wilderness in Montana. With his Ph.D. in science education from Kansas State University, Manhattan, he has taught interpretation at Humboldt State University, California, and at Miami University, Ohio. He is also a Certified Interpretive Trainer through the National Association for Interpretation (NAI).
For 14 years Alan served as the editor of NAI's Legacy magazine and is the current editor of NAI's Interpreter magazine. He has authored four books, Glacier Day Hikes, 2003, Going to Glacier, 2006 by Farcountry Press, Interpretive Writing, 2006 by InterPress, and Seeley-Swan Day Hikes, 2005.
Alan lives in the Upper-Swan Valley, south of Glacier National Park, Montana.
